How is PUSH (subscriptions) different from PULL (coaching)?

PUSH is a product for you to launch your own custom training app and sell subscriptions to your training program library. You build training programs into digital products and sell subscriptions directly from your marketing site. Your subscribers do not receive custom coaching from you, you just give them unlimited access to your program library as long as they are subscribed. With PULL, you build and distribute custom training programs for your clients. You can also view their training logs and videos through your coaching account and provide feedback. Think of PUSH as providing guidance and building a community of lifters, whereas PULL you can think of this as providing custom coaching.

How much does it cost to launch my own custom PUSH app?

There is no cost to launching your app. We do all the technical work. You just create the brand, the content and build quality programs and market your app to your audience. Once you are up and running we have a revenue share pricing model where you keep 80%. See pricing page for more details.

How much can I charge for my monthly subscriptions?

You create your own monthly subscription price, but we suggest a minimum of $15 USD per month. You can also set your price in any currency depending on who your primary audience might be.

How do I get paid?

We use stripe for billing your subscribers. You can choose your own frequency of payouts. Payouts are deposited directly into your account.

How does MyStrengthBook make money with PUSH?

With Push we use a revenue share model where you keep 80% of all subscription revenue. MyStrengthBook pays for all the technical development, app hosting, technical service, custom domain, etc. We only make money when you make money so we are highly motivated to make sure your app is a huge success.

Do I need to know how to code to launch my own app?

No! MyStrengthBook handles all the technical work. You just create the brand, the content and the programs and then market the app to your audience.

How do people signup for my app once launched?

Once you have your app launched, you sell subscriptions from your custom storefront. This is embedded inside your existing marketing site or can be standalone. The custom URL will be yourbrand.programs.app.

How do my subscribers access my programs

Your subscribers access their programs through your Training app. This will be your custom mobile app that you design and has many features to keep your subscribers engaged and excited about using your programs to reach their goals.

Where do my subscribers go for help?

If they are inquiring about a technical issue (e.g. app related) MyStrengthBook customer support handles all inquiries. If it is a training program related question, you are required to handle those types of questions. The easiest way to do this is create a community for your lifters (facebook group, discord channel, etc) and they can ask questions in the community. Most of the time your community will help on your behalf

What kind of training programs can I publish in my library?

Our program builder is designed to handle any type of programming. It can even handle strength training protocols so you can program with % 1 rep max and rate of perceived exertion (RPE) or reps in reserve (RiR). It’s also advanced enough to handle supersets and circuits but flexible enough to handle free-form text programming.

How many programs can I publish in the library of my app?

You can publish as many programs as you like. They can also be any length. We suggest a minimum of 6 programs to start, with each program being 8-12 weeks in length.

Will launching a lower cost subscription using PUSH impact my 1:1 coaching business?

No. In fact, our customers see significant growth in their coaching business while using PUSH. Having a lower cost subscription gives you a further reach into the global market and is also fully self-serve. This gives people a chance to test out your programming style and creates a natural funnel for 1:1 coaching prospects.

Can I use both PUSH & PULL products?

Yes! Our coaching accounts enable you to manage both products under one account. You can be running a highly successful coaching business and subscription income business with only one piece of software.

What if I don't have my own marketing site or branding?

We have an entire team of marketers and designers that can help. Please request access to PUSH and we will be in touch

How is PULL (coaching) different from PUSH (subscriptions)?

PULL is a custom coaching product. You build and distribute custom training programs for your clients. You can also view their training logs and videos through your coaching account and provide feedback. With PUSH you build training programs into digital products and sell a subscription for unlimited access to your library. You do not have access to coach subscribers (e.g. viewing their training logs, videos, etc). Think of PULL as providing coaching and PUSH as providing guidance.

How do my clients get access?

Once you create your account, you send them an invite through the app. Your clients will receive an email from with a unique code telling them to download your app and create an account.

How much does PULL cost?

We use a metered billing plan so you only pay for what you use. We charge you (the coach) $3.99/client per month. See pricing page for more details.

When am I billed?

You are billed for your usage on the last day of each month

Do my clients have to pay anything?

No. Your clients get free access to the apps (mobile/web) once you invite them to your account to be coached.

How do I collect payments from my clients?

We do not handle payment processing for your own billing of coaching fees. You manage this outside of the app using any platform of your preference. In-app payments for PULL are coming soon. Does the platform handle programming for complex protocols?

Yes, our app is specifically designed to handle all types of workout protocols. Our program builder can handle complex programming like rate of perceived exertion (RPE), reps in reserve (RiR) and % of 1 rep max. It’s also flexible enough if you only want to program using free-form text.

Can I send my clients videos over the app? and vice versa?

Yes, the platform has several video based features. First, you can use our in-app loom integration to send recorded videos to your clients. You can also add custom demo videos to your master exercise library so that your clients can learn proper technique. Clients can also upload a lifting video to each set in their workout and share then with you (coach) for review.

How do my clients receive their training?

They will receive their training programs via the mobile or web app. Once they receive the notification about their first/new program they can click ‘add to calendar’ to begin training.

Can I use both PUSH & PULL products?

Yes! Our coaching accounts enable you to manage both products under one account. You can be running a highly successful coaching business and subscription income business with only one piece of software.

What is PRESS?

PRESS is a gym management software for boutique gyms. In short, your gym will have its own custom mobile app where members can join your gym, manage their subscription, access all your training programs (or be coached 1:1), and open the door to your gym if you integrate with one of our smart lock providers (optional)

How is PRESS different from PUSH and PULL?

PRESS manages your gym operations and integrates with both PUSH and PULL. Your gym membership plans can offer 1:1 coaching plans, or just provide members access to your training program libary.

Can I use PRESS without the smart lock integration?

Yes, the smart lock integration is optional. If you do not have a smart lock system, your members will have a digital gym membership card inside the app. You can also provide members with a code or fob if you have that type of system.
